Jane Kearney 1932-2016. Jane Lamb Kearney, 84, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, November 14, 2016 in the place she loved and lived most of her life, Altamonte Springs, FL. She began blessing those around her on June 26, 1932 in St. Louis, MO. She was born to James and Frida Lamb. Knowing Jane and the life she lived, I feel confident that her giving spirit, on day 1, began asking people, "What can I do for you today." She was no doubt a peaceful and easy baby filled with so much joy, who at an early age, was taking care of all those around her whether she realized it or not. The first time Jane was married, it was to her sweetheart and the love of her life, Mike Kearney, at the age of 17. They just couldn't wait! The love birds told the Magistrate on that day that they were 20, and 22 years old. And so they were married…illegally. The second time Jane was married it was to her sweetheart and the love of her life, Mike Kearney, at the age 21. They had to make it legal, and so they did, on December 17, 1953. Mike preceded her in death in 2006, and 10 years later, the LORD she so faithfully served, decided, that 10 years without him was 10 years long enough.

Jane was known for her lovable personality, her contagious smile, her nurturing spirit, her beauty and grace. She perpetuated a very sweet and simple presence which provided endless amounts of peace and comfort to all those around her. This peaceful presence won the trust and hearts of so many, some, still here today and some, who've gone before her.

Mike and Jane pledged their love to each other and defended the very vows they took in 1949 and again in 1953, for 57 years before they were parted by death. Mike and Jane raised their 4 treasured children, Mike, Lynn, Carol and Tom. Jane faithfully cared for her family and friends and carried with her a servant's heart until the very day she was called to be reunited with the one who created her in his image. With a real punch for life and living it, Jane loved to dance, pray, watch her beloved husband bowl, spend time with her children and grandchildren, watch cardinal baseball, and gamble (responsibly of course.) Jane didn't cling to any bad habits, or immoral characteristics. Her family was her greatest treasure and what she lived for daily. Jane loved her church and was a reverent Catholic. She attended St. Mary Magdalen church in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Jane had a calling in life, a gift… and that was to make others, in her presence, feel safe, and loved, and respected, and nurtured, and important. The world sure could use a lot more Jane. And while Christ decided that her job here was done, her gifts will bless all of those that knew and loved her, forever.

Jane is survived by her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Her services will take place on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Highland Memory Gardens.
