Thomas G. Houser

Houser, Thomas Gerald beloved father and grandfather passed away at the age of 85.

He was born in Alabama to the late Bernice and Pierce Houser. In 1969, he married his loving wife Rachel Houser and she was a faithful loving companion until her passing in 2015.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a 1st Class Petty Officer from 1951-1971 during the Korean and Vietnam War with a deployment on carrier ships. In 1971, he spent the remainder of his naval career working for MWR on the Orlando Naval Base.

His proudest accomplishment in life was his family. He was devoted to ensuring his wife and children were well cared for. He lovingly spent most of his time during his retirement with his grandchildren. He proudly carried the naval values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his entire life.

Thomas is survived by his sister, Sarah Houser; children, Sherry (Mark) Sylvain, Terry (Deena) Houser, Michael (Malissa) Young, and Michelle (Lenny) Cole; grandchildren, Shawna (Kristian) Brooks, Nicole Lemelin, Kimberly Cole, Kaylee Cole, Rachel Young, Zachary Young, Elijah Young and Buddy Houser; great grandchildren, Morgan Brooks, Ryan Brooks, Karter Cole and Seth Houser.
