Fernando Ortega

Fernando Ortega, 75, Orlando, Fl. Went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 23, 2018. Fernando died in Orlando,Fl.,where he and his wife Maria Ortega had lived for the past 6 years. Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm, Friday, July 27th at Newcomer Funeral Homes. Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, July 28,2018 at noon.

Fernando was born and raised in Macuelizo, Santa Barbara, Honduras. He worked as a heavy machine operator. He married Maria Magdalena Ortega on December 23, 1977, together they raised 3 children (Celba, Douglas and Luis). Fernando and his family moved to the United States in 1991 and lived in Jersey City, NJ. He is survived by his wife Maria, his children and grandchildren.

Fernando enjoyed working in the sugarcane fields in Honduras as heavy equipment operator. His work ethic and dedication to his family were of utmost importance to this Ortega patriarch. The love for the Lord Jesus Christ was the most important thing to him. He instilled in his family this love and compassion for us all to follow.
