Barbara J Mccorkle

Barbara J. McCorkle 75, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 18,2020. Barbara was born in Krissy, Ohio on August 18th, 1944 to Clyde and Katherine Lockhart. She had 6 sisters and 2 brothers. She spent her childhood in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is survived by her husband William D. McCorkle of Apopka Florida. She is preceded in death by her son James D. McCorkle, survived by her daughter Terri L Tague and spouse Tim of Piedmont, South Carolina, son Michael E Scoggins and spouse Teresa of Orlando, Florida and son Steven D. Scoggins and spouse Dannia of Orlando, Florida. She is also survived by her beloved 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Barbara always cherished her time with each and every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara and her husband of fifty years, William enjoyed family game nights, family gatherings and special occasions. Barbara especially enjoyed participating in bingo at her community center with family. Family was a very important part of her life. Barbara was especially fond of her sweet papillon, Princess, who she enjoyed spending time with and always had by her side.

At the age of 69, Barbara bravely fought and courageously beat breast cancer, bringing new meaning to her family of what strength really looks like. She was greatly admired by her family for her caring and selfless nature. Her family was so blessed to have been a part of Barbara's life. She had so many people that loved her and she will be greatly missed, but leaves behind a beautiful and lasting family legacy.
