Luis Cintron-Figueroa

June 2, 1935 — February 6, 2021

Luis Cintron Figueroa, age 85, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his home in Orlando with loved ones by his side.

Luis was born on June 2, 1935 in Comerio, PR, son of the late Ramon Cintron and Juana Figueroa. He was a career military veteran of the United States Army, retiring as a sergeant after many years of honorable and faithful service. On January 16, 1960, he married Carmen N. Rivera, to whom he was married to at this time of his passing.

Luis was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He loved to read the Bible and speak about God to us all. He made sure to give the best memories to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His heart was big and full of love and he showed it in many different ways. Silly dances when he would see you, blowing kisses, celebrating us, singing to us made up songs to make us laugh, saving our favorite snack or drink so that when we would visit he would be prepared to give you what you most enjoyed. That's what he did. He would make sure we were always the happiest no matter what he had to do. His smile, his laugh, his whistle, his hugs, his kisses...those things made him that much more special in our lives. A love like his is like no other. Our memories will forever be the greatest of him because he made sure to give us the best of the best husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. We are the lucky few that were able to have such an amazing man in our lives.

Luis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carmen; two daughters, Wanda Cintron, and Nilda I. Cintron-Arce; his son, Edgardo J. Cintron; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Luis E. Cintron who he lost just 9 months ago.
