Derika Laboy Rios

We are sad to announce the passing of Derika LaBoy Rios, at the age of 55, of Orlando, Florida on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home in Orlando. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden passing.

She was born on April 8, 1968, in Manhattan, NY to her parents, Louise (Sanchez) LaBoy and the late Jaime LaBoy.

Derika is survived by her two sons, Jeramy LaBoy and his wife, Kelia, of Riverview, FL, and Angel LaBoy-Rios of Albuquerque, NM; her daughter, Jenavy LaBoy of Orlando; her mother, Louise LaBoy and her longtime companion, Luis Rios, of Orlando; three grandchildren, Tristan LaBoy, Je'vien LaBoy Henry, and Carmela Rios; a sister, Christine Bernier and her husband, Adam, of Orlando; and a brother, Anthony Dominguez of Orlando.

Derika was a kindhearted woman. She loved deeply all those around her. Derika's love for the beach, music, food, and great company will forever be remembered. Her smile spoke a thousand words and her hugs embraced you with a profound sense of joy. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of many.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jaime LaBoy, and her husband, Angel Rios.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the funeral service we are holding in her honor on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a service beginning at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, with Chaplain Mike Caroline officiating.
