Jacob Sterling Heyer, age 25 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

He was born on March 5, 1998 in Orlando, Florida and was the son of Troy Heyer and Sarah Gorton.

Jacob was a loving and devoted father to his young son, whom he adored more than anything in this world. Jacob was incredibly witty and humorous and from a young age, deeply fascinated and passionate about the German culture and language, so much so, he enjoyed a year abroad in Germany while in high school.

In addition to his loving parents, Jacob will be fondly remembered by his stepfather, Mark Aguiar; his stepmother, Vanessa Heyer; his son, Leon Heyer (mother, Kaitlyn); his brothers, Brett (Mary) Heyer; Ryan (Abigail) Heyer; his sister, Jourdyn Aguiar; his grandparents Glenda Beckett and Vaughn Gorton, Jerri Bullerdick and Rick Merryweather; several adoring aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Jacob was a wonderfully kind and compassionate young man who was deeply loved by family and friends. While his time in the physical world was far too short, we know he will continue on in spirit to serve his full purpose in heaven. There are simply no words to express the depths of our sorrow but with a full, yet saddened heart, we faithfully give him to God.

Services will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel, on Saturday, July 22, 2023. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM with a Celebration of Jacob's Life to follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.
