Abner James Fitzgerald Bourne was born in New Amsterdam, Berbice in Guyana, South America on January 20, 1931 to parents Abner George Bourne and Rachael Robertson.
He grew up in the Cumberland area. He later moved to McKenzie where he met and married Mildred Younge. To this union were born 7 children one of whom was a still born.
James was a very good electrician by trade and was employed by the Demerara Bauxite Company for over 35 years when he retired.
He was a member of Gray's Dramatic Group, an arm of the Anglican Church and was a member of Mechanic's Pride Lodge #21 for many years.
James migrated to the USA in 1997 and lived with his daughter Barbara Johnson.
James went home to be with his Lord on Monday, August 7, 2023.
