Adrian Leon Knight

Adrian Leon Knight passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. He was 72 years old.

Adrian was born on June 1, 1943, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, to Vester Leon Knight and Zella Winifred Shearin. He married his beloved wife, Betty Jennett King, on December 28, 1964. They made their home in Orlando, Florida, and had four children.

Adrian made his living as the owner of a floor-covering business in Orlando. He was an avid reader and had a passion for learning. He enjoyed the library, studying history, and spending time with his wife and family.

Adrian was preceded in death by his father and mother; his wife; his brother-in-law, Bob Ayscue; and his dear family friend, Desi Metsalaar.

He is survived by daughter Zella Unger and her husband, Dan, of Nacogdoches, Texas; son Adrian Knight, Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Christmas, Florida; daughter Betty Hawes and her husband, Robert, of Lexington, South Carolina; son Hendrik Knight of Orlando; brother Bill Knight and his wife, Sandy; sister Marty Knight; sister Cherry Ayscue; brother Charles Knight and his wife, Amy; sister Leila Knight; sister Mary Knight; brother Robert Knight; and his grandchildren: Bethany and Josie Unger; Mekayla, Wade, Dayton, and Justin Knight; and James, Andrew, and Joshua Hawes.

Funeral services will be held at Eastland Baptist Church in Orlando on Friday, March 4 at 12:00 pm, with Pastor Daniel Green officiating. The family will begin receiving visitors at the church at 10:00 am.

Internment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Orlando.
