In Loving Memory of
Albert Khalil Laham
April 7, 1923 – July 8, 2022
Albert K. Laham, age 99, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on April 7, 1923 to Khalil and Rose Laham, one of seven children. A distinguished World War II veteran, Al served 20 years on active duty in the Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1961. He then served another 22 years as a Navy Civil Servant Sonar Technician. He enjoyed a lifetime of family, golf, travel, and dancing.
Married to Mildred Woodfin Laham, they brought together a wonderful blended family in Virginia Beach, VA.: daughters Amy Laham Motko, Rayna Deafenbaugh Brite, Dalene Deafenbaugh Robinson, and Nancy Deafenbaugh Villano; and sons Kris Laham and Donald Byars. Al loved all children, but especially his grandchildren: Cory, Brendon, and Tristan Zelna; Rayna Rewann and Thomas Brite, Jr.; Carmon Modelski and John Robinson; James, Daniel, and Anthony Villano; Tristan Laham; Donald Vance Byars II; and his 13 great-grand children.
Al's Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am Friday July 15, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home (East Orlando Chapel). To honor Al's happy attitude love of color, we invite everyone to wear cheerful colors to celebrate him. Internment with military honors will follow for family at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Encore at Avalon Park Memory Care Center, and the AdventHealth Orlando Vascular and Hospice Care Units for their attentive care and support.
