Alexander Medina

Alexander Medina, age 72, of Orlando, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on December 17th, 2021. Alex was born in Bogota, Colombia on July 26, 1949, to Maria Eugenia Matiz and Hipolito Rosendo "Polo" Medina. He met the love of his life, Clara Ines, and they married in 1977. They had one son, Jeyson Medina Barrios. Tragically, Clara Ines was taken way too soon by cancer, devastating Alex. Alex raised Jeyson as a single father. Being a supportive and dependable father was of the utmost importance to Alex and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family.

For the last 25 plus years, Alex was a school bus driver with Orange County Public Schools. He was extremely loyal and dedicated to his job, and he was equally adored by both his colleagues and the kids he drove to and from school every day. In addition to his siblings and his son, Jeyson, Alex is survived by his loving grandchildren, Lincoln, Jeyson and Claritza.

A Celebration of Alexander's Life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822.
