Alfred Arroyo was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 17, 1952 to the late Julio and Berta Arroyo. After finishing school, Alfred was blessed with 2 daughters during his first marriage. Upon moving to Long Island, Alfred retired from the deli business and pursued a career with MTA as a bus operator. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life, Bertha Weaver.
As the family grew by 4 children, Alfred dedicated his time to improving the community. Alfred volunteered his times as a Little League coach for several years. By forming the Tree Street Community Neighborhood Watch, he patrolled the streets along with police and ensured everyone felt safe. He served on the NAACP and received multiple awards for his services. Alfred was a man that thought of others and their needs before his own. After moving to Winter Springs, Florida with his wife and children, he fully immersed in the Floridian retirement. Alfred enjoyed boating and fishing on the water, playing in one of 4 bowling leagues, biking and spending time with his family.
