DORNSEIF, ALICE PULICK, 81, died peacefully at home from stroke complications on March 4, 2006. She was surrounded by family. Alice was born August 28, 1924, in College Point, NY to Anna and John Pulick. She married Edward Dornseif on October 23, 1947 in Chicago, IL and started married life as an Air Force wife, traveling extensively before settling in Orlando in 1954. Her husband and parents preceded her in death as did her siblings Mary Korpas Dillman, Edward and Frank Pulick and Gloria Ool. Alice is survived by seven children, Stephen of Alexandria, VA, David of Chicago, Ellen Sherman and Gail Dornseif of Geneva, FL, Gerald of Livermore, CA, Mary of Fort Collins, CO, and Denise Sineway of Tampa. She is also survived by her brother Emil Pulick of Long Island, NY and nephew Jack Pulick of Palm Coast, FL. Alice led a life chock-full of love and service to God and others. She loved being with her family more than anything. Besides her chosen path of motherhood, she was truly a nature-lover enjoying home gardening as well as being a volunteer at Leu Gardens. Her favorite pastimes were camping, crabbing, canoeing, and beach outings with her family. Alice was an enthusiastic bicyclist and wheelchair athlete. She was also a passionate volunteer for numerous organizations including Habitat for Humanity, American Heart Assn and various churches, particularly St. Andrews which was the family church, where she specialized in catering large groups with loving attention to detail. She was even a professional clown spreading her infectious positive attitude. Her motto, ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING, was her guidepost and certainly helped her through her own health challenges including strokes, cancer, heart disease and arthritis. Her sense of humor, strength and determination, desire to serve others, caring and thoughtful manner, enthusiastic attitude and zest for life will be her attributes most missed. Please join us for a celebration of Alice's life on March 11th. Visitation is at 11AM, Service at 12 Noon at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S Goldenrod Rd., Orlando.
