Allen Scott Cunningham

Allen Scott Cunningham, age 38, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Allen was born on April 29, 1982, in Winter Park and raised in Orlando, Florida. He spent his childhood playing sports, especially basketball. He was a graduate of University High School class of 2000. After high school, he began university studies at Valencia Community College in Orlando where he earned his Associates Degree. Following community college, he enrolled at Florida International University in Miami, and then University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he was in the process of completing his Bachelor's degree. Allen was a big fan of University of Florida sports, an avid fisherman, and kept up to date on national politics.

Allen had a big heart. He loved his family and his adopted pet dog Gizmo very much. His kindness and good heart made him a great friend. Among those who knew him Allen was beloved for his acts of kindness. He had many loyal friends who he cared for and would help anyone who was in need.

Like so many thousands of others, Allen struggled for years with addiction and its complications. Until the end, he was strong and in good spirits, trying his best to overcome.

There will be a celebration of Allen's life on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 1 o'clock PM at the Downey Park north pavilion location at 10107 Flowers Ave, Orlando, FL 32825.

Allen is survived by his mother Jennifer, father Doug, brother Kevin, sister-in-law Raquel, and nephew Brody. Allen is now at peace. He will be deeply missed by all. We will always love him and cherish the good memories and the time we had together.
