Alma Jane Kistner (Kyle)
Alma Jane Kistner, age 92, of Orlando Fl passed away on Sunday March 12, 2023 at her son's home in Orlando Fl.
Jane was born on February 5, 1931 in Pearl River NY, daughter to her late parents, Mr. Ross Kyle and Mrs. Lena Kyle (Bock). She was raised in Bogota, NJ and graduated from Bogota High School, class of 1949. She worked in various occupations including waitress, electronic manufacturing, collimating in running a small shell shop business in the Florida Keys with her husband Ted.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Theodore (Ted) C. Kistner, son Ted Allen Paul Kistner, sister Alta DeYoung and brother Allen Kyle, granddaughter Lori A. Schenk and dear friend Sterling D. Crowe.
She is survived by her son Daniel Kistner, his wife Judy Kistner, special niece Hanne Kistner, granddaughter Angela Blye and three great grandchildren, Kendan Blye, Madison Schenk and Kailey Blye.
Jane was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and a loving mother to her two sons and her family. She moved to the Florida Keys in 1973 with her Husband Ted to open Kistner's Shell Shop on Summerland Key until Ted's passing in 1999 when the business was closed. She remained in the Keys until 2018 when the hurricane Irma compelled her to leave the keys to live with her son Dan in Orlando Fl. She had a deep love of horses and westerns spending a number of summer vacations in Montana working on a cattle ranch. She would usually be seen wearing her favorite color "Pink".
Let us not be sad at the passing of our dear Jane but let us celebrate the time we were lucky enough to spend with her. Jane requested a simple cremation without a service but please celebrate your memories of her. If desired please make a donation to you local Hospice organization
