Alvin Walton Thurman

Alvin Walton Thurman age 87, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. He was born in Orlando, Florida on February 6, 1933 to parents John and Mabel (Carrol) Thurman. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by his wife Ethel Jane Thurman, daughters, Deborah (Ed) Strawder, Penelope (Jerry) Mills; son, Matt (Karen) Thurman. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, John Nelson Thurman.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Saturday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Winter Park Chapel, 3806 Howell Branch Rd, Winter Park. The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 30 at University Seventh Day Adventist Church, 9191 University Boulevard, Orlando. Interment with military honors will follow at Drawdy Rouse Cemetery, 4050 Rouse Road, Orlando.
