Amelia Claudio

Amelia Claudio, went to be with the Lord the morning of June 8, 2011, in her home in Orlando Florida where she lived with her Daughter, Maria. Amelia was born on January 2, 1926 in Caguas, Puerto Rico; su isla del encanto, her beloved island. Married to Angel Diaz for over 50 years, she is now reunited with him in heaven.
She is survived by her daughter Maria Diaz, granddaughter Taina Pineiro, son-in-law Daniel Pineiro, and her 3 great grandchildren; Amaris, Alyssa, and Anais Pineiro; as well as her sister Dolores "Lola", her beloved nieces and nephews, and extended family in Puerto Rico and New York. She was known and loved by all who knew her because of her gentle and loving spirit. Amelia opened her home to anyone in need and although she birthed one child, she was a mother to many.
Amelia was a hard worker, great cook, loved to sew, and knit; she was amazing at everything she attempted; from breeding dogs to growing beautiful orchids; she truly was a woman with many talents. We are grateful for the time we had with her, the many ways she touched our lives, and we'll hold on to each memory until we meet again.
