In Loving Memory of America

America was born on June 30, 1930, in Daule, Ecuador. Her journey through life was a testament to her unwavering strength and indomitable spirit. As a child, she faced early hardships, having been orphaned by her father and separated from her mother and siblings. It was her paternal grandmother who provided the care and love that guided her formative years.

Her life took a beautiful turn when she fell in love with Mr. Lizard Murillo, with whom she created a loving home and raised six children together: Nubia, Adolfo, Martha, Arnoldo, Mercy, and Tanya. In addition to this, at the age of 19, she willingly embraced the responsibility of being a mother to five additional adopted children: Hector, Rosa, Emma, Diogenes, and Isabel. This is a testament to her boundless love and care.

Throughout her life, America's resilience and determination shone brightly. She was not only an older sister, single mother, and daughter, but also a role model for many in her family. Her wisdom and advice were constantly sought after, and her love radiated through every act of kindness, regardless of its magnitude. One of her favorite phrases to repeat was, "We are not in this world to be served, but to serve," and she dedicated her life to living by this motto and taught others.

America's talents were limitless. She studied domestic economics, tailoring, and baking, perfecting her skills. With these talents, she created various sources of income, including catering services, the crafting of exquisite wedding cakes, designing beautiful dresses, and decorations.

At the age of 64, America embarked on a new chapter in her life, making the United States her home. Her resilience allowed her to overcome cultural barriers, demonstrating her ability to adapt and thrive in new environments. She was an essential part of the lives of her grandchildren, nurturing and guiding them as they grew.

As a devoted Catholic, America was actively involved in her community, especially within her church. She generously participated in numerous events and activities, always with a strong desire to give back to those around her.

America's life was a testament to strength, love, and the ability to overcome adversity with grace. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and the enduring belief that love can conquer all. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. America's memory will live on in our hearts, a shining example of the power of love and determination.
