America Luisa Mehmood

On Saturday, December 22nd, 2018, after a short yet courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, God called America Luisa Mehmood home at the young age of 67.
America was born on November 10th, 1951 in Miami, FL, daughter of the late Richard Arthur O'Fallon, Sr. and Ana Luisa Castro-O'Fallon. America was a wonderful mother to six children and an extraordinary grandmother to eight grandchildren. America loved to cook and enjoyed deep sea fishing. America was a great listener—a very open minded and caring woman who would do anything for her family. Her bright smile, graceful heart, and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all. America was an avid Catholic who devoted herself to God. The world is a much brighter place thanks to the light she exuded over her 67 years of life. Today and forever, we celebrate her.
America is survived by five children; a son, Lennie J. Martel; four daughters, Lisa A. Darediya, Shannon Marie Martel, Jennifer Lynn Martel, and Sheila M. Martel; two brothers, Richard Arthur O'Fallon, Jr. and Justo "Albert" O'Fallon; a sister, Victoria Luisa Phelps; her grandchildren, Brandon "Shaheen" Martel, Patrick Tyrome Watkins, Jr., Farah S. Ali, Xander Martel, Ariela Martel, Sosa Robinson, Salize Robinson, and Serena Robinson; one great-grandchild, Moses Jeremiah-Tyrome Watkins; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Daniel Arthur Mehmood.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 27th at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822 from 5pm-9pm.
A Funeral Mass led by Father José Muñoz will be celebrated on Friday, December 28th at St. Isaac of Jogues Catholic Church at 9:30 am.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Lennie Martel (son), Brandon "Shaheen" Martel (grandson), Patrick Watkins (grandson), Xander Martel (grandson), Jamie Levinsky (son), William Phelps (nephew), and Albert O'Fallon (brother).
