On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Ana Gloria Zedán, a longtime resident of Clermont, FL, loving mother of five children, and grandmother to seven grandchildren passed away peacefully at the age of 78 at the Orlando Health South Lake Hospital.
Ana was born in El Salvador, San Salvador on September 19, 1945, and was the oldest daughter of Guillermo Salomon Zedán and Blanca Zedán. She had four other siblings, two of whom have passed, Guillermo Zedán and Norma Lidia Zedán; and two that are still living, Rebeca Zedán de Rahn and Jorge Zedán.
Ana found a passion for fishing. The first ever fishing trip the entire family went to was in Grand Isle, LA. Ana along with her family tried to go fishing whenever possible, which was practically every weekend. After her children grew up and started their own lives, Ana didn't get too many chances to go on fishing trips, but she got a lot closer to God.
Ana was a devoted Catholic who would attend Church weekly, and continuously gave to the poor through her devotion to St. Anthony of Padua. Her father was also devoted to him. Later in life, she began to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and continued praying to the Venezuelan La Virgen de Durí, whom made many of our family's miracles.
Ana had multiple surgeries that kept her from doing a lot of activities, but that never stopped her from finding new ways of entertaining herself that kept her mind off her constant amounts of pain. The thing she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting, bingo, casino and she was really passionate about doing oil paintings like Bob Ross.
Ana is survived by her four sons: David G. Quintero and his wife, Bertha, of Dallas, TX; David J. Quintero, Jr. and his wife, Tracy, of Metairie, LA; David A. Quintero and his wife, Laura, of Destrehan, LA; David A. Quintero and his wife, Reena, of Buford, GA and her only daughter, Lissette C. Quintero, of Clermont, FL, plus her seven grandchildren: Dominic W. Quintero, Dyan N. Quintero, Ashley E. Quintero, Alison C. Quintero, Rohan D. Quintero, Gabriella A. Schwieterman and Sophia G. Quintero.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two of her siblings; and by her former spouse, David J. Quintero, Sr. of Orlando, FL.
