Andre Andrews, was born April 9, 1971, in Gary Methodist Hospital to Patricia Andrews and Andre Collins. He peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at age 51.
Andre lived in Gary Indiana during most of his childhood before moving to Quantico, VA and later Fredericksburg, VA where he graduated from James Monroe High School in 1989. In 1991 he moved to Orlando, Florida. On September 1, 2001, he was joined in holy matrimony to Edwanna Andrews and to this union was born Austin Spencer Andrews.
In Orlando, Andre completed his education at Florida Metropolitan University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in 1996. He worked as a Software Developer/ Programmer for various technology companies during the years; Andre's last position was as a Computer Programmer at Johnson Service Group. He was described by his co-workers as extremely knowledgeable and willing to assist anywhere he could.
In life Andre was a devoted Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin to his Family and friends. Andre was dedicated and elated with the joy of his life "Austin Andrews" to say "they were two peas in a pod" doesn't do justice to their bond. The bond they shared brought praise and envy from others who witnessed their closeness. Andre shared a lifelong bond with his Mom, and his bond with his sister Tonya was beyond brother, he was her protector father-like. Andre also shared an especially close relationship with his Three nieces (Robyn, Tiana and Tasmine) who referred to him as "Uncle Pebe", his childhood nickname that he could never outgrow to the family. He also enjoyed a close relationship with his cousin/sister Michelle Eckwood. Last but not least he still shared a cherished friendship with his former-wife Edwanna Andrews.
Andre leaves to mourn his passing, His son: Austin Andrews, Mother, Patricia (John) Smith of Suitland, MD, his Sister, Tonya Andrews of Temple Hills, MD and trusted friend, Edwanna Andrews. Three Nieces, Robyn (Raymond IV) Bond of Stafford, VA, Tiana Andrews of Temple Hills, MD and Tasmine (Aaron) Morris of Jacksonville, NC. Seven Great-Nieces and Nephews (Courtney Andrews, Noah Morris, Aubrey Morris, Mila Morris, twins, Raymond V and Roman Bond, and Kobe Bond, as well as host of other relatives and Friends.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Funeral Services are Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (Winter Park).
