On Friday, December 29, Andrea Louise Ohlson, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother went peacefully home to be with the Lord. She was born February 13, 1946 to Pete and Edwina Petrucelli in Oxford, North Carolina. Her father was military and she grew up all over the states settling as a child in Yuma, Arizona where her father owned motels. She raised her kids in San Diego until she reunited with the love of her life and came to Orlando. She is survived by her beloved husband John Ohlson, her children Sean Tipps (Amy Tipps) and Kyle Tipps, (Mark Macneal), and was preceded in death by her youngest son Cameron Petrucelli. She is also survived by grandchildren Caitlin Tipps Gordon (Jerry Gordon), Matthew Tipps (Lauren Phifer), Conner Tipps, Devin McCrea, Jaxion Macneal, Faith Macneal, Kyle Macneal, Ralph Lepore, Daniel Myers, Kimberly Myers, Jamy Lawless and great grandchildren Andrew Tipps and Hailey Gordon.
Andi was called to love everyone: God, her family, the unborn, strangers, and most of all (on this earth) her husband John. Andi had a first love, as we all do in high school, and as life happened, John joined the Navy and Andi went to College causing them to drift apart. She graduated with an associates in nursing education. They lived their lives for 40 years apart, but the flame still burned. They were reunited 18 years ago and they began their new lives with each other -truly a fairytale come to life. She enjoyed ballet dancing, won a talent show, was a fantastic cook who ensured all of her family learned the recipes, and most of all she loved her faith and educating herself about the bible. She was able to go to Jerusalem a few years back with John, which was her dream.
Andi had a servant's heart. She was an executive director for a women's pregnancy center providing support to young mothers and spiritual counseling. She patched up the neighbor kids, raised her family, volunteered at the Sherriff's department and ministered to new mothers. She was always willing to jump in and help. She left a piece of herself with everyone she met and was always genuinely joyful to lend a hand or a kind word. God gained the most beautiful angel anyone could ever know.
