Ann D. Norris

Ann D. Norris, age 90, of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Brookdale Lake Mary.

Ann was born on December 21, 1931 in Palm Beach, FL, daughter to the late Clyde H. and Dovie (Fulford) DeShields. Ann attended Ft. Lauderdale schools, graduating from Ft. Lauderdale High School, class of 1949. She raised her three children, Reid, John, and Andy, and then went out to the workforce as a property manager for several different apartment complexes.

She was a tireless worker, constantly keeping busy with her job. But she was always fond of spending time in the mountains at the family home in Balsam, NC. Her and her family would spend every summer there, and Ann continued to visit all through her life. She continued the family tradition of visiting Balsam with her own children. She was also a very doting grandmother to her grandchildren; especially to Zackary and Blake to whom they were her world and she spent a great deal of time with growing up.

Ann is survived by a son, John Mansker and his wife, Beverly, of Lake Mary; four grandchildren, Zackary Mansker, Blake Mansker, Ashley Mansker, and Sara Richter; a sister, Jeanne Bass Winston of Jacksonville, FL; her sister-in-law, Marjorie DeShields of Boca Raton, FL; and her nieces and nephews, Debbie (Jim) Stine, Steve (Cindy) DeShields, Dan (Maryann) DeShield, David (Janice) DeShields, Brett (Caroline) Bass, Dr. Brenda Bass (Ken Jones), and Dr. Brian (Susie) Bass.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Reid Mansker, and Andy Mansker; and her brother, Clyde DeShields.

A Celebration of Ann's Life will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 12 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Seminole Chapel, 335 E. State Road 434, Longwood, FL. Friends will be received from 11:45 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
