Anna Ayala, age 75, of Orlando, Florida passed away on December 19, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 28, 1947 in Puerto Rico and grew up in New York. She lived in Connecticut where she met her Husband of 40 years.
Anna was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Anna was the light of her family's life. Anna could make anyone feel at home with her warm smile. She loved to make people laugh! Anna will be sadly missed by her husband, Hector Ayala, her son, Rudy Sananbria and wife Vanessa, her daughter Monica Hoffman and her husband Ronald, grandson, Justice, 6 sisters, 2 brothers and many loving nieces and nephews.
During their loving lives together, Anna , Hector and family were stationed in North Carolina, where she ran a daycare at their home and molded the lives of many little ones. At their next overseas assignment in Alaska, she worked at the commissary. The family was then stationed in Colorado, where she attended Pikes Peak Community College and earned an associates degree in computer technology. After serving in Colorado, they were transferred to Germany, where she worked as a baker at the commissary. At their last duty station in Maryland, she worked for Affees where she received many honors for her hard work, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
After retiring from the military Anna and Hector resided in Orlando, Florida where they enjoyed spending their time doing interior decorating projects. Anna was an amazing seamstress. She was very happy she was able to custom design and sew her daughter's prom dresses and wedding dress. She was always mending something for someone. Some of her passions included do-it-yourself projects, gardening, knitting and crocheting, interior design, making curtains and pillows, floral arrangement and building furniture. She truly had an eye for detail and fashion.
Anna enjoyed spending her time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals and baking the best desserts for her loved ones. She had a lot of fun with her pets, Lila, Thalia and Troy. They kept her company and made her laugh a lot. Before she became ill, Anna volunteered with the Red Cross and helped those affected by Hurricane Maria.
Anna touched the lives of many and she will forever live on in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022. Those coming to pay their respects may arrive at 3:00 p.m. and services will commence at 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer E Orlando Chapel located at 895 Goldenrod, Orlando, Florida 32822.
