Anthony Chico Baker

September 17, 1974 — July 28, 2021

Anthony Chico Baker, age 46, died of massive heart failure on July 28, 2021 at Beaumount Hospital located in Wayne, MI. Anthony was born on September 17, 1974, in Orlando, FL.

In August 1986, Anthony was baptized at First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL. Anthony graduated in 1993 from Cypress Creek High School, and he completed two years of college at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, FL. Instead of settling down, Anthony enjoyed traveling and experiencing the single life. Anthony lived in Orlando, Miami, San Francisco, Virgin Island, and Detroit, MI. Anthony was an exceptional mixologist/bartender and he absolutely enjoyed the excitement of working in fine dining establishments. When visiting home, Anthony loved cooking elaborate 5 course meals with wine pairings, and shore fishing in the ocean. On numerous occasions, Anthony would prepare huge meals and distribute to the elderly in Cape Canaveral. Anthony was extraverted, kind, smart, adventurous, thoughtful, and most importantly he had unconditional love for all his family and life-long friends.

Anthony is survived by his mother Sarah Travelute, father Dwayne Baker, and half-brothers Demonte and Demonae. Anthony is also survived by numerous Uncles and Aunts (Betty/Al Boatman; Charles/Angela Binkley; Cynthia Binkley/Janis Painter; Leonard/Gina Binkley; Pam/Shahab Danesh; Patsy/Joe Johnson; Douglas Binkley; Jacquelyn Barton; Victor Baker; and Patricia Baker Gaston). Additionally, Anthony is survived by many-many loving cousins, nephews and nieces.

Anthony is preceded in death by his stepfather Toby Travelute; grandparents: Alma Ruth Binkley, and Minnie/Wilson Baker; Uncles Wilson Jr Baker and Dwight Baker; Billy Binkley and Donald (Binkley) Felts.

Towards the end of Anthony's life, he struggled with many health issues, but he fought hard to live. Anyone who met Anthony knew he loved life and lived it to its fullness. With Anthony's passing, his family knows that there is one more angel in heaven, and may he rest in peace.
