Anthony Torres, Sr.

Anthony Torres, age 56, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was born on February 5, 1961 in Youngstown, Ohio to parents German Torres Sr. and Luz Noelia (Pagan) Torres.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ida Elba Rivera Torres; father, German Torres, Sr.; mother, Luz Noelia Torres; son, Anthony Miguel Torres; daughter, Antonia Michelle Torres; son, Jordan Jackson; son, Victor Manuel Torres; daughter, Maria Isabel Torres; 6 grandchildren; brother, German (Iris) Torres, Jr.; brother, William Torres; sister, Nellie (Ricardo) Gonzalez; sister, Evelyn Torres; 11 nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members.

He is a United States Navy veteran with various medals and commendations from service during Desert Shield/Storm, including a National Defense Service Medal, a Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, a Combat Action Ribbon, a Southwest Asia Service Medal, and a Kuwait Liberation Medal.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel. The funeral service will take place the following day on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 10:00 am, also at Newcomer Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery at a later date.
