Antonio Castañer, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. Antonio was born on March 8, 1930 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to parents Antonio Castañer Sr. and Maria F. Silvestrini.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda I. Castañer; son, Carlos Castañer and his wife, Julie Castañer; son, Gabriel Castañer and his wife, Jill Meehan; sister, Elba Bozzo; and his granddaughter, Kristina Castañer.
Antonio served with the U.S. Airforce as a member of the Radio Relay Squadron in Fountainebleau, France. He later joined the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronic technician where he retired.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida with rendering of military honors.
