Reverend Antonio Ortiz Gonzalez, 90 of Orlando, FL passed away on February 17, 2025. He was born on July 21, 1934 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to Natividad and Florencio Ortiz. At a young age, Antonio came from Puerto Rico to the United States and became licensed as Plumber. He worked in construction for a short time in Chicago, Il.
In 1956, he married Francisca Ortiz Ruiz and because of her influence, he became a Christian. He became ordained as a Minister in the Pentecostal church. Antonio had a strong Love for the Lord and sharing his faith became the passion of his life. He was a devoted family man and his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren were he joy of his life. Antonio had the heart of a servant and caring for others was important to him. He was loved and respected by those who were fortunate to know him. His gentle personality attracted many to be near him. To his family, he their God on this earth.
Each day, he would spend time reading his Bible and spread the Gospel through preaching and missionary work in many states and other countries. Antonio loved to travel with his family and see many new sites in God's creation. Family gatherings were so special and he loved to tell stories to them. He loved to sing and share his joy of the Gospel through music.
Antonio is survived by his loving children: Ruth and her husband David; Noemi and her husband Jorge, Antonio Ortiz Jr., Loida, Frank and his wife Sheila; his sisters, Alida and Minerva; his brothers, Hector and Gerardo; his 15 grandchildren: his 29 great grandchildren and his 7 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Antonio was preceded in passing by his beloved wife Francisca Ortiz Ruiz and his daughter, Orpha Ortiz.
