Aristides Sepulveda

August 17, 1930 — March 27, 2021

Aristides Sepulveda left us on Saturday, March 27, 2021 to join his wife, Victorina, in heaven. Ari was 90 years old and had resided in the greater Orlando area for the last 27 years.

Ari was born on the family farm located in the lush tropical mountains of Puerto Rico near the town of Yauco. In his twenties, following the lead of his older siblings, Ari left the rural life and headed to New York City where he met the love of his life, Victorina. Together they created a home of love and encouragement. Most of Ari's career was spent working at the Metropolitan Hospital in NYC in the engineering department where his hearty laugh and zest for life was infectious, and a welcome respite for his colleagues. No challenge was too hard for the man commonly known as Seppy.

Ari brought his love of people and generosity to Central Florida where he and Victorina settled to give daycare support to their first grandchild, Casey. On his piece of land, he created a small farm where he grew pumpkin patches and a variety of vegetables much to the delight of his grandchildren and their friends. Their household was a happy home full of food and laughter to be delighted in and shared.. Ari traveled throughout Central Florida, leaving an indelible mark of kindness, joy, and camaraderie with the many he befriended and encountered. His big heart and infectious laugh will be missed by many.
He is survived by his children, Aristides, Jr., Norma, Irving and Cynthia, and by his grandchildren Casey, Francisca, Kenneth, Aristides III, Kevin and David.

Also survived by his sisters, Gladys, Iris, Elba and Freddie and his brother Edwin. As well as many nieces and nephews.

On Saturday, April 3, an intimate graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery will be done with immediate family. Please share your memories on this page as a tribute to Ari.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Second Harvest Food Bank. Ari loved to announce with glee as we sat at the table, "Mangia, mangia!" So they are a fitting proxy.
