Augusto Gogin passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He entered this life on February 28,1927 in Chincha - Alta, Peru. His life was spent with his mother and father, Luzmila and Saverio Gogin in Peru until he met and married the love of his life Cecilia Gogin - Holguin. They were married in March 1951 and were blessed with fifty-four (54) years full of love and traveling visiting more than 42 states with him behind the wheel.
As an adult he loved to drive and became an excellent driver, working many years driving buses and trucks in Peru until he became a Manager with PSCA. He was "Mr. Fixit" for being a great handyman fixing any and everything. His loved hobbies consisted of landscaping, collecting watches, hats and challenging himself with English word search puzzles. His favorite colors were brown, tan, yellow and navy blue.
Augusto and Cecilia migrated to the United States in 1990 to sunny Los Angeles, California where he became a school crossing guard for many years. He continued his excellent driving skills and was proud in not receive one traffic citation. In 1999 they moved to Orlando, Florida to join family here. Augusto continued his excellent driving record in Florida until 2022, where at the age of 95 he chose to surrender his license.
Augusto will forever be known for his dressy sandals, hats and bow ties but most importantly remembered by every human being because of his funny charisma, loving kindness, humble spirit, and friendly personality. He lived a great life and is survived by his children Olga Taylor Gogin (George), Augusto Gogin Holguin, Luis Gogin Holguin, and Maria Gogin Holguin.
