Junior Baker Davis 91, born July 22, 1928 in Tampa, Florida passed away on February 3, 2020 in Orlando, Florida.
Baker is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Margaret Ann Davis; son, Bobby Davis; daughter, Jackie Bryant; son-in-law Steve Yeagley; and his brothers, Richard and Bobby.
Baker was a lifelong Central Florida resident. In his early years, Baker joined the Navy and was in combat in WWII. He returned home and began working as a mason. Baker built houses all over Central Florida. He not only took great pride in his work, but also relished in his love of the outdoors. He shared this love with his family and many close friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and often took trips all over the mid west and Alaska in pursuit of the hunt. Baker also had a passion for animals. He raised Grand Champion American Pit Bulldogs as well as Prize Winning Steers. Baker could handle a horse, and he was good with a gun. He was our hero, one of a kind, and the last of a dying breed.
He leaves behind his girlfriend Portia Wallace; children Sandy Yeagley, Susie and Steve Pippin; grandchildren Marci Gorman, Andy and Jennifer Yeagley, Michelle and William Sizemore, Robbie Maynard, Bobby and Jennifer Davis, Stevie Yeagley and Kristen O'Konski, Molly Bryant, and Colton McMilian; great grands Cory Fox, Katie Gibbs, Megan Gorman, Mikey Sizemore, Madison and Ausin King, Carter Gorman, Rease Sizemore, Faith, Jenna and Ashley Yeagley, Kayah Prewitt, Reese and Riggs Davis, Amber Usher, Madilyn and Jacob Stamm; and Great Grands Vanna Jo Fox, and one on the way, Kayson Austin King.
Services are Saturday February 8, 2020 at Liberty Baptist Church, 744 Dean Road, Orlando, Florida with an11:30 am arrival as Military Honors will begin promptly at 12:00 pm prior to the start of the service.
