Barbara Ingool Hobbs

Barbara Ingool Hobbs, 90, of Orlando, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 18, 2023. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord, and her life was an expression of the love of God that filled our lives.

Barbara was born in Elkin, North Carolina on April 17, 1933 to Lester and Lola Ingool. She worked at Cone Mill in Greensboro, NC, Westbury Knitwear in Matthews, NC, and Conway Learning Center in Orlando, FL, but she was primarily a wonderful homemaker.

Barbara was married to her devoted and loving husband, Talmadge Hobbs, for 69 wonderful years. The couple always put God first in their marriage and raised their three children to love the Lord. The theme of her life was to love her husband and her family. She had a caring heart and genuinely cherished everyone. Barbara was a long-time member of the Church of God, an honorary member of Crosspoint Worship Center, a founding and dedicated member of Christ Church of Orlando, and she faithfully served in many church ministries throughout her life.

Those who cherish her memory include her husband, Talmadge Hobbs, daughters, Joan (Gary) Kettlehut, Carolyn (Rod) Stewart, and son, Theron (Kim) Hobbs, Sr., grandsons, Theron (Emma) Hobbs, Jr. and Tanner Hobbs, five step-grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren, brother, Orville (Betty Jean) Ingool, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death, by her brother, James Ingool, and sister, Betty Casstevens.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 25, at 12:00 at Christ Church of Orlando, 2200 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, Florida 32806, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00. An Interment will follow the service at the Chapel Hill Cemetery - Baldwin Fairchild at 2420 Harrell Rd., Orlando, Florida 32817. Pastors Paul Valo and Theron Hobbs, Sr. will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church of Orlando.
