Barbara L. Smallwood

On September 27, 2011, Barbara Louise Smallwood lost her fight against Cancer. Barbara was a Christian and member of Winter Park Church. Barbara was married to Gary M. Smallwood for 17 wonderful years and was the daughter to Lois Livengood. Her father, Clyde A. Livengood and brother Steve Livengood preceded Barbara in death. Barbara was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and moved to Florida at the age of 4. Barbara retired from BellSouth after 31 years and was enjoying retirement taking care of her mother and was a loyal, loving wife. Barbara had the unique gift of bringing joy to all that met her; she would light up a room with her beautiful smile and laughter. In lieu of flowers Barbara wishes donations to be made to Hospice of the Comforter located in Altamonte Springs in her name, where she spent her final days on earth. All will miss Barbara and to say our loss is Heaven's gain is an understatement. The sun will have to shine brighter to make up for the loss of her smile.

Barbara's viewing and funeral service will be held at Newcomer's located at 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. in Orlando, Florida 32822 on October 2. Viewing from 1 to 3 pm, service to immediately follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
