Mrs. Barbara Spiegel, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in Longwood, Florida. Barbara was born on May 1, 1929 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to parents Benjamin Miller and Ida (Potter) Miller.
After graduating from high school, Barbara cultivated a career as a real estate broker. On October 18, 1949, Barbara married the love of her life, Alfred Irving Spiegel , or better known as "Irving." They were married in the Chateau Garod Wedding Hall on Beacon Street in Brookline, Massachusetts, and spent the next 66 years happily married. They were blessed with two daughters, Lori and Joanne.
One of Barbara's favorite hobbies was shopping. She also enjoyed knitting and cooking, among her many other interests in life.
Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Irving Spiegel; two daughters, Lori Marshall and Joanne Stewart; sister, Cheryl Brilliant and her husband, Robert Brilliant; brother, Marvin Miller and his wife, Ruth Miller; and her only granddaughter, Stefanie Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Ida Miller, and her sister, Janice Miller.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Further details will be updated as they become available.
