Beatrice Marie Carper

December 17, 1938 — July 25, 2022

On July 25, 2022, the world lost an angel walking the Earth, Bea Carper, at age 83.

Bea was predeceased by, John Carper, her husband of 61 years at the time of his death in 2019. She missed him every single day but knew her family needed her and she was always there for them: as matriarch, as best friend and best listener, prolific purveyor of unconditional love and mother and grandmother to many in her life, whether related by blood or not.

Of all the roles that Bea had in her life, it was her roles as wife and mother and grandmother that meant the most to her and most defined who she was as a person.

The legacy of Bea and John's great love story is vast. She had 4 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. They are:





Bea's life was never easy, but she always had great faith and optimism and never let anything hold her back or keep her from providing boundless support to others. Her life experience gave her a deep well of empathy and her many successes, both personally and professionally, was an inspiration to others.

Orphaned at the age of 9 and raised as another child of her aunt and uncle, as well as her cousins whom she called and considered her sister and brother. She made friends easily and worked to stayed in touch with many lifelong. She was always there for others in their time of need, had endless compassion and never held a grudge.

At a young age, she excelled in design and became a teen buyer for exclusive ladies clothing store. She often made clothing for herself, family and friends. In the 1970s, when it was rare for a woman to do, she went to school for interior decorating and furniture redesign and started her own business.

She was a respected teacher of furniture redesign and ran her successful business for over 30 years. She quit only to support her husband, a trained chef, to fulfill his dream of owning and operating a gourmet bakery and prepared food business, which they ran together for 10 years. After which time, she assisted him in his teaching of allergen friendly cooking and baking at a local culinary school.

She was a Daughter of the American Revolution and from one of the founding families of the city, Jeannette, Pennsylvania, where she spent the majority of her life before relocating to Florida to be closer to family. No matter what, she remained always down to earth and easy to talk to and confide in and even easier to love.

She will be missed greatly and her loss felt forever by all blessed to have her in their lives.

She is survived by her daughters Lynn, Wendy, Nanette,and Cheri. Grandchildren Damien, Preston, Jason and Rachel. Great grandchildren Jase Jackson, Jagger, Julian, Maddie, Raven, Alysa, Johnathan, Ocean, Bridger, Kemper, Keegan, Cali, Mia, Tenley and Nico.She also has two Great great grandchildren, Luna and Ezra.
