CHIN, BENJAMIN G., born Dec 8th, 1930 in Cambridge, Jamaica to Edward M. and
Rhoda (Wong) Chin, passed away in Orlando, Florida on October 13th, 2006. A
successful business man in Montego Bay, Jamaica. He emigrated to Fort St.
James, B.C., Canada with his family in 1978, and in 1981 moved to his final
home in Orlando. He is survived by his loving wife Sheila, sons Bruce
(Sandra), grand daughter Meghann, Neil (Lorna Tom), Edward and daughter
Melanie (John) Ruel. Ben was the 5th of eleven siblings: Ellen (George Lip
Kee Lee), Milton (Eunice Moo Young), Mavis deceased (Dr. Samuel Williams),
Winston deceased (Dorothy Williams), Doris deceased, Mandison (Yvonne
Lee-Hing), Pearline (David Taylor), Enid (Clinton Chin), Leslie (Elma Hoo
Sue deceased) and Raymond (Helen Mah). Ben was proud of his Chinese (Hakka)
Jamaican American heritage. He will be sadly missed but will be long
remembered for the kind, caring and gentle person he was.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday Oct 21st, 2006
from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod
Road, Orlando, followed by a memorial service from 12 PM to 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
