Bernice Odessa Marek, age 81 of Orlando, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Bernice was born in Ballinger, Texas to Roy and Thelma Long. In 1945, Bernice married Albert "Bud" Marek and the young couple soon moved to Florida. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who tirelessly gave her life for the needs of her family and children.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Bud and is survived by her two sisters, Lillian and Linda, her three children, Sharon, Lisa and Joseph and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retiring to live with her family in Utah, Bernice returned to Florida to enjoy the beach and ocean she loved so much.
