Gone To Meet Jesus Announcement

All too often, people come to the end of their life here and find that they are full of regrets. I am thankful to say, by the loving grace of God, that is not my story.

Hello, my name is "Bud" (Bert M. Clark) and this is my story.

I was born on Easter Sunday, March 27, 1932 in Warren, Ohio. I was welcomed by my father, "B.M." and mother, Gladys. I also had a wonderful sister, Betsy, and brother, Billy.

At the age of 18, after 3 years of high school football (quarterback), I earned a football scholarship to Ohio State. I chose instead to serve my country, joining the US Air Force, becoming a pilot in June of 1950. By the sole grace of God, I survived the North Korean War and retired from the Air Force in 1956.

I then started the first of six successful businesses and was again blessed by God with many friends and a wonderful family that God allowed me to financially provide for. I was given the priviledge to be a father to Joyce, Dennis, Karen, Skippy, Kevin, and Kristin.

As to be a blessing to others, I became active with the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge in Warren, Ohio. In 1960, I became a Shriner and have been for 60 years.

Just in case I haven't said it enough, I am forever thankful to God for the year to year and day to day care given to me by my beautiful, loving, and devoted wife, Jackie, my daughter, Kristin and son-in-law, Tawn; as well as grandchildren Dylan and Kendyl. My life has been richly blessed because of you and I truly love you all.

"I won't be far away, though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near,
And if you listen with your heart, surely you will hear,
And my love will surround you, ever so soft and clear.

You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, but be thankful for our beautiful years.
I thank you for the love you have shown,
But now the time has come when I must travel alone."

And just as "B.M.", Gladys, Betsy, Billy, Tina (1st wife), and Skippy before me, I am now going to be in the glorious presence of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, of whom I have waited a "lifetime" to meet.
