Bessie L. Hair Bell Aumiller passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Comforter to be with our Lord on Monday, April 10, 2017. Born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia to Rev. Sam M. and Vashti Hair on July 7, 1923, she was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband's George J. Bell, Jr. and Joseph Aumiller; brothers John, Ernest, Stephen and Joseph Hair, sisters Annie Lou Dean, Margaret Brand, Evelyn Throckmorton, two sisters in early childhood, 1 granddaughter in early childhood and three nephews.
Bessie settled in Orlando, Florida in 1949. Bessie was active in the First Baptist Church of Orlando and after over 21 years of service she retired from the McCoy Federal Credit Union and later finished her working career with the Orlando League of Cities. She was also active with the Orlando Toastmasters Club and the Pioneer Civitan Club of Orlando where she served as President 1978-1979.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Bessie is survived by her daughter Marie E'Lane Bell Shuler (Edward) and three sons George Joseph (Jay) Bell (Pam), Robert Michael Bell (Nell), James Webster Bell (Susan), adopted son Jerry Bloodworth (Pamela), stepdaughter Bobbie Jo Aumiller Joyce (Ralph), 22 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home at 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750 on Monday, April 17, 2017 beginning with visitation with the family at 11:00am until the Funeral Service time at 1:00pm.
