Long-time Orlando resident, Betty B. Anspach, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018, after a long and fulfilling life. She was born August 31, 1925 in South Charleston, West Virginia to Jane Dorsey Bryant and John Groves Bryant and attended South Charleston High School (WV) and Mary Baldwin University, Staunton, Virginia.
On September 3, 1946, Betty Bryant married Robert J. Anspach, who predeceased her in 2009 after sixty-three years of marriage. She is survived by her loving and faithful daughters Allison Anspach Annon, and her husband Fred, and Kimberly Anspach Pontillo, and her husband Salvatore. She is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Rebecca Bryant Worst; her brother, John Dorsey Bryant and seven nieces and nephews.
In her younger years, Mrs. Anspach was a Legal Secretary and an active partner and supporter of her husband's stellar military career. She was a woman of strong character who was very creative and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude of gardening. She was a proficient seamstress and knitter, made jewelry and was a passionate egg decorator. Mrs. Anspach was a long-time member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and MILA of Orlando.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018, in the Chapel at the Fountains at Orlando Lutheran Towers, 300 East Church Street, Orlando, Florida 32801. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Orlando Lutheran Towers Foundation, 300 East Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801 or a charity of your choice.
