Mrs. Betty Jean Bright, age 85, passed away surrounded by her family on March 20, 2018 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Betty was born on January 8, 1933 in Moultrie, Georgia to parents Arvin Dock Sumner and Maude (Griffis) Sumner.
Betty is survived by her son, H. Perry Jordan III; son, Daniel L. Jordan; son, Alex R. Jordan; granddaughter, Amber Jordan; grandson, Jacob Jordan; granddaughter, Shannon Billingsley; grandson, Homer Jordan; granddaughter, Leigh Anne Warren; granddaughter, Ashley Mrotz; granddaughter, Nikki Kinser; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will take place from 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - South Seminole Chapel, 335 E SR 434, Longwood, FL 32750. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 24, 2018. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr, Winter Park, FL 32789, at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made in memory of Betty to the Alzheimer's Association.
