Betty Louise Buell, 76, went to be with the Lord on July, 21, 2018, at Florida Waterman Hospital while surrounded by family and friends.
Born as Betty Louise Thomas in Kincaid, Kansas on December 15, 1941, to Ralph and Ruth Williams Thomas, she was raised on her family's farm until she married Edwin Kent Buell on January, 13, 1957. She and her husband were dairy farmers until they were called into the ministry in 1968.
She dedicated her life to serving the Lord as a pastor's wife for the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a leader of the ladies auxiliary for the churches she served, leading event planning and teaching for teens and fundraising for the church and community. She served many people over the 26 years of ministry that God guided her through. She provided counseling to people coming to Christ, offering support love to the homeless, broken hearted, poor, and the sick. She was the one that her family always came to for understanding, love, guidance, and support.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and her second son, Ricky, her brothers, Floyd and Charlie, her sister, Patricia, her nephew, Wayne, and two grandchildren. She leaves behind her sister Lorna, her sons; Randy, Lonnie, Danny, and Mark; her daughter, Kala. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was expecting her first great-great grandchild in October.
She was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Spirit Life Church of God, 18620 County Road 455, Clermont, FL 34715. In your GPS, the address will register as Clermont, though it is actually in Ferndale, FL. Interment will follow the service at Montverde Cemetery.
