MANKO, BETTY JANE, 96
Orlando, FL – Betty Jane (Bell) Manko passed away quietly at her residence on November 24, 2020. She was born in November, 1924, in Ravenna, OH, the eldest of two children of Arthur and Emma (nee Yaussy) Bell.
Betty was raised in Monroe, MI, where in 1944, she married her husband Paul Manko of Kent, Ohio, a U.S. Army paratrooper home on leave. Following the war, they settled in Kent, OH, where they raised their four daughters, and where for many years Betty was an administrative assistant of the Kent City School District. In retirement, Betty and Paul moved to Tampa, FL, in 1979.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Paul, who died in Tampa, FL in 1981, by her sister Lois, who died in Monroe, MI, in 1999, and by her third daughter Patty who died in Winston-Salem, NC in 2019.
Survivors include her three daughters Barbara White, of New Bern, NC, Mary (John) Welsh, of Alliance, OH, and Paula (John) Thompson, of Orlando, FL, eight grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
