Betty Arnett Pendergrass, 81, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at home, the home where she was born and raised and where she raised her three children.
Betty worked as a supervisor at the Florida Department of Agriculture for over 20 years and was also a state certified building contractor, building many homes with her husband across Central Florida. Betty was known as Betty Boop by her friends because of her spunk and sense of humor. She made the best fried chicken and pound cakes, always cooking for family birthday parties and special occasions. Betty also loved to crochet endlessly for her family and friends, bowl and play cards. Betty was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and raised her children in church to believe Jesus Christ is our savior, and to respect and be kind to others as he did. Betty will be dearly missed.
Betty is survived by her cherished children, Debbie Pendergrass, Ron (Joy) Pendergrass and Rex (Laura) Pendergrass; grandchildren, Brandon (Lisa) Pendergrass, Rachel (Patrick) Weimer and Wesley Kashula; and great-grandchildren, Gaige Pendergrass, Abbie Pendergrass, Keeley Pendergrass, Anthony Weimer, Leo Weimer and Aria Weimer.
