February 17, 1931 - January 26, 2022
Orlando, FL (formerly of Cabot, AR)

Our beloved Mother Betty Ann Risner, nee Jones, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 joining her husband Winston M. Risner and Sugar (her beloved dog). She was preceded in death by her parents Edward A. Jones and Evelyn M. Jones (Hastings) from North Little Rock, AR and is survived by son Steven E. Risner (Teresa) Groveland, FL and daughter Rosemary R. Morgan (Las Vegas, NV).

Loving Grandmother to Noelani E. Richardson (Las Vegas, NV); Jade L. Morgan (Delray Beach, FL); Timothy J. Risner (Casselberry, FL); and Oliva C. Risner (Banbury, Oxon, UK). Two Great-granddaughters Bianca K. V. Richardson and Gianna L. L. Richardson (Las Vegas, NV); her sister Peggy L. Rhodes (Jones) (North Little Rock, AR) and several nephews and nieces.

She was a career civil servant, most recently serving at Subic Naval Base, the Philippines. She graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1948 and traveled and lived throughout the World.

Betty was a devout Christian and was an ardent fan of her Arkansas Razorbacks. She was fond of catfish, chicken and dumplings, BBQ and margaritas. She delighted in dogs, pigs and butterflies. Purple was her favorite color; gardenias and lavender roses were her favorite flowers. And if she was in the building, you could always hear her laughing.

A celebration of life ceremony was held at Allegro Assisted Living Facility in Winter Park on 16 February. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
