Betty N. Simmons, age 82, of Orlando, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at her home. She was the loving wife of Gerald D. Simmons.
She was born on October 14, 1941 in Elizabethton, TN, daughter to her late parents, Clarence and Sylvia (Kuhn) Nelson. On February 12, 1960, she was wed to her husband, Gerald. To this union was born four sons, David Simmons and his wife, Jacqueline, Douglas Simmons and his wife, Shereen, Paul Simmons and his wife, Rebecca, and Kevin Simmons and his wife, Traci.
In addition to her husband and children, Betty is survived by nine grandchildren, Amy Simmons, Dakota Simmons, Kari Sanders, Sylvia Lent, Douglas Simmons, Jr., Claire Grieco, Eric Simmons, Lily Simmons, and Ashley Simmons; eight great-grandchildren, Jesse Simmons, Beau Simmons, Hunter Simmons, Dawson Simmons, Sophia Lent, Madison Lent, Sage Lonergan, and Addalyne Simmons; and a sister, Carol Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two brothers, Bill Nelson, and John Nelson.
A graveside funeral and committal service will take place on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 10:00 am at Christmas Cemetery, 23643 Christmas Cemetery Rd, Christmas, FL 32709.
