Betty Spear

Betty Luenell Spear (Brigmond) age 81 of Orlando, FL went to be with Jesus on Aug. 29, 2015 after a courageous battle with AML. Born in Douglas, GA on Feb. 10, 1934. A devoted mother to her three children; She loved Jesus Christ and was faithful in her service to Him. She worked for Orange Co. Public Schools for 22 years; Loved cooking, gardening, crocheting and sewing. Proceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Luedell Brigmond; Sisters Clarise Brigmond and Ruby Lewis; Brother Michael Brigmond; daughter Susan Burton and grandson Jamie Burton. Survived by daughter Cindy (George) Wiese, son Michael Spear; brothers and sisters Jack Brigmond, Thelma Turner, Bobby Brigmond, Lois Jones and Darrell Brigmond. Grandchildren and great grandchildren Julie (Daniel) Preston and Victoria Hearn, Hollie (Dan) Colby Maule, Jesper and Perre`Brown. Visitation Wed. Sept 2 from 5-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home 895 S. Goldenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822. Funeral service Sept. 3 at 10AM at Eastland Baptist Church 9000 Lake Underhill Rd, Orlando, FL 32825. Internment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando.
