Betty J. Woody, 84, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away on July 19, 2022. She was born on April 9, 1938 in Cabel County, West Virginia. Betty was a longtime resident of Central Florida.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Harold and Richard Pelfrey; sisters, Eunice Palmer, Juanita Steel, Donna Frazier; son, Randy Clark and father of her children, Abby Lee Clark.
Survivors include her husband of many years, Wayne Kelly Woody; sisters, Alice Straubel and Linda Collins; daughters, Carol White (Jeff), Sandy Clark, Tammy Woodrum (Robert), and Sherry Boone; step-daughter, Robin Broderick (Jimmy) and son, Rick Clark (Sherri). Also included as survivors are her 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
One of the great joys in Betty's life was watching her family grow. She was a lifelong seamstress and a devoted member of the Zion Free Will Baptist Church. Betty also enjoyed birdwatching and in particular, the sand hills cranes of Florida.
The family invites all who knew Betty to join them in her Celebration of Life services on Saturday, August 13th at 2pm at the Zion Free Will Baptist Church, 5399 County Road 427 Sanford, Florida 32773.
