Beverly Morton-Goble, 79, died June 4, 2021, at Belmont Village in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Bev was born in Indianapolis, IN, where she resided with her parents Virginia and Evans Morton. After relocating several times, the family eventually landed in Michigan where Bev graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Pursuing her dream of becoming a pilot, she attended Burnside-Ott Aviation Academy in Opa-Locka, Florida. She studied hard and through her spunk and courage, she broke through a field that was largely male dominated.
She worked at several different companies flying light aircraft; and was the chief pilot for an air ambulance company, flying a Seneca II over the eastern half of the U.S. Eventually she gained a position with the (FAA) Federal Aviation Administration as an operations inspector from which she retired.
Bev was a long time resident of Orlando, Florida where she resided with her husband Toney, who was a Korean War veteran and also worked for the FAA, and their two little Schitzu dogs Jeannie and Windy, whom Bev loved as her 'kids'.
Bev was an active member of her church, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Winter Park, and enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry and as a driver taking parishioners to doctor's appointments.
Bev's love for travel took her on numerous excursions including many of the National Parks, Cruises, and traveling abroad. She had an uncanny knack for trip planning to the minutest detail. She and Toney enjoyed their trips in the RV with their RV club called the NUTS (National United Travelers). Other hobbies included square dancing, line dancing, and photography.
Her love of animals was quite evident, not only in her love for Jeannie and Windy, but she loved all animals, having owned her own horse as a youngster and multiple pet dogs throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her cousins Daniel Hall, Mary Lynne Hall, and Nancy (David) Lampi.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Evans T. Morton and Virginia Morton, her Husband Toney B. Goble, as well as her beloved dogs Jeannie and Windy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
