Billy Paul Borgard

Billy Paul Borgard, age 90, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Saturday July 23, 2022.
Billy was born April 18, 1932 in Winter Garden, Florida to H.C "Bill" Borgard and Mildred I. Corley. He was the oldest of three children. Billy graduated from Lakeview High School in Winter Garden, FL in 1950. He began his career at the Electrolux Corporation, where he became a southeast regional company Auditor. He retired after 32 years of service.
In 1951, he married Cathryn Jane Henry. Together they raised three children, B. Paul Borgard II, Stuart Henry Borgard, and Stephanie Borgard Kania. After 50 years of marriage, Billy's beloved wife Cathy was promoted to her heavenly home.
Billy was an active member at Aloma Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida for over 35 years. He was a member of several service organizations for numerous years where he served in many leadership positions. A few of the organizations were Independent Order of Foresters, Lions Club, and over 50 years service with The United Commercial Travelers of America.
Billy enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball. He loved spending time at the beach with his family and especially the grandkids. He loved animals and his days were happy as long as he had one of his many beloved dogs over the years resting on his lap. Billy worked very hard and did his best to make sure his family wanted for nothing. Due to the travel commitments associated with his job, Billy lived out of a suitcase five days a week. However, when he arrived home on the weekends, he devoted all of his time to his family. Billy will be dearly missed by his loved ones.
Billy is survived by his brother Ronald B. Borgard (Jackie), Houston, TX, son, B.Paul Borgard II of Chiefland, FL, daughter, Stephanie Kania, (Michael), Asheboro, NC, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and long time friend, Barbara McKenna.
Billy is preceded in death by a brother Larry N. Borgard, a son Stuart H. Borgard, a grandson, Travis Brown, his parents and his wife of 50 years, Cathryn J.H. Borgard.
The family will receive visitors Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10:30 am to11:00am at Aloma Church, located at 1815 FL-436, Winter Park, FL 32792. Billy's Celebration of Life service will be held immediately following at 11:00 am, Interment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734
